Weekly gratitude

Hello from a very cold Cape Town!  We were having some slightly warmish weather a little while ago but now it feels like winter all over again.  I’m sitting wearing layers with the heater on and a lovely cup of tea (with honey).

This week has flown and I cannot believe we are nearly at the end of August.  I had a check up at the Optometrist and a follow up at the Dentist this week but managed to fit in some kick ass workouts and have to say this dry month has improved my fitness and eating in so many ways.  I will be doing a post on it and look forward to sharing what I’ve learnt along the way.

Fridays mean happy vibes and gratitude lists.  As always, I enjoy linking up with Lindsay http://theflynnigans.com/ Charlotte http://mypixieblog.com/ and Beth http://coffeeuntilcocktailsblog.com/  with my list of things that made me smile during the week:

  • Hike up the mountain and breakfast at Jarryd’s last Friday morning.  I have the best boss ever.
  • Quiet Saturday mornings with tea and a book
  • Saturday brunch was this………..

Went back to Jarryds with Mark so he could try the amazing menu.

  • Productive Sunday.  Skipped the gardening because of the rain but caught up on chores, ran 5km’s, did a quick shop, stocked up my gift drawer and had a nap.
  • Getting a last minute check up at the Optometrist.
  • Prioritising gym on days I feel like skipping it.
  • The heater – first thing I switch on when I get to the office in the mornings.
  • Finding containers and re-organising the main bathroom cupboard. Amazing how much better the counter looks uncluttered!
  • Drinking mint tea each day (been reading up on the benefits of this refreshing tea)
  • This candle that smells SO GOOD

What about you?  What is on your gratitude list this week?

  1. Your brunches look super amazing! So yummy! It looks like you had an awesome week and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

    • Yay for getting appointments out of the way! I had one this week I was glad to put behind me. And it was cold this week, too: well, “cool.” We’re transitioning to fall but Jersey likes to jump ahead with their seasons sometimes. Also your brunch looks amazeballs. Mmm…

      • I was glad once both appointments were done and dusted and I could tick that off my to-do list 🙂
I’m sure you are enjoying the cooler weather after summer. I feel the same way about spring now! Been a cold winter and I’m looking forward to taking out my summer clothes soon!
