Happy Friday!

New pic

It is a very cold Friday this side of the world!  Winter is truly here now (lovely rain this week so not complaining) but I must say the mornings are chilly.

Friday means linking up with Lindsay http://theflynnigans.com/ Charlotte http://mypixieblog.com/ and Beth http://coffeeuntilcocktailsblog.com/  with my list of what made me happy this week:

  • Fantastic weekend away in the Drakensberg mountains.
  • Being in nature and having the beautiful views, peace and quiet put back what everyday living takes out.
  • My new K-way jacket – oh my goodness I’ve never known a jacket to be so warm and lightweight and comfortable.  I’ll be wearing mine until September.
  • Steak and sweet potato mash after a very busy Monday
  • Lots of rain on Tuesday and again on Wednesday
  • Having two of my articles published on the CMIYC online magazine.
  • Productive Thursday evening – did loads of errands and shopping which means more time to relax this weekend.
  • Feeling organised with my “gift drawer”.  No more running around buying presents at the last minute.  When I see something that will make a great gift I buy it right away and keep it in my designated drawer.  Going to be honest I fancy one or two of the goodies for myself.
  • My phone is fixed!  Will catch up on the Whatsapps soon!
  • Tea with honey

Tonight I’m going to a yoga class after work and tomorrow is a friends birthday.  She is having a birthday dinner is in the evening.  Hubby and I have breakfast plans for tomorrow and we’ll see what Sunday brings.

What about you?  Any exciting plans for the weekend?

xx

  1. Hey love,

I’m so sorry – every single week I let my blog list accumulate and then I feel like I’m drowning. Basically, it’s not you, it’s me.
Is it strange that I always think it’s odd in our summertime when youre talking about the cold and winter? I guess for some weird reason in my mind, I don’t think of you as being on the other side of the world… I guess that’s the beauty of technology and internet – no matter how far away, we always feel connected to some degree. And technology has allowed us to do and be things we never could before. I guess it can be a blessing and a curse.
    ANYWAYS, way too deep.

Wish you lived closer so we could hang out in nature, sightsee, go see animals, hike, bike….. If you ever make it over this side of the world, you MUST let me know my friend.

Love that you have a gift drawer – must come in handy, especially when something just pops up eh? Mmm Steak and sweet potato. My fave!

    • No worries – I know how busy we all are – there are so many blogs I want to visit and comment on and finding the time isn’t easy. Always lovely when you visit 🙂

I feel the same way about the weather – it is amazing that while I’m looking at summer pics from you and other bloggers, I’m sitting listening to the rain outside. It is so amazing that the internet and everyday technology can connect us like this.

Wish you lived closer too! My goodness when I see bloggers meeting up IRL cos they live so close to each other I’m super envious! If you are ever in this part of the world, you have to give me a shout!

We ate so much steak and sweet potato again last week and I just don’t get tired of it! Delicious 🙂
