January goals and mantras

goals and mantras

I love this time of year.  I mentioned it yesterday and I’m saying it again – the start of the new year always feels fresh and new and I love listing my resolutions, choosing a Word for the year https://my30somethingadventures.wordpress.com/2019/01/07/my-word-for-2019-revealed/for the year and planning for the 12 months ahead.

My December goals were:

My goals for January 2019:

  • Continue going to yoga
  • Try something new at gym
  • Update blog 10 times
  • Keep holiday feeling alive!  Less stress more laughter.
  • Read 3 books
  • Spend more time outside, less online.

Mantras for the month ahead

“Life is an adventure, it is not a package tour” – Eckhart Tolle

“Jobs fill your pocket, adventures fill your soul” – Jaime Lyn Beatty

  1. I love that last mantra, because it’s so true. Some people are lucky with a career they love, but I feel like it’s not that way for the majority. You have to find your bliss OUTSIDE of work. Good luck with all of your January goals. I am trying to get back on track with healthy eating, and I’ll be starting dance up again tonight so that’s good!

  2. Sounds like you got to most of your December goals and that is awesome! I am so with you on needing to organize my bookcase. It is daunting for sure! I’m glad you are enjoying yoga and plan to continue with it! I like the idea of keeping the holiday feeling going as well. We should find reasons to be joyous year round!

  3. Great job on your goals for last month! This reminds me to organize and purge my own bookcase. I have a stack of books I need to fit in and a lot of non-book items that could stand to find a new home. Hope you have a great January!

  4. Sort bookcase is one I need to do as well. I have so many on there that I’m just no longer interested in reading, or read but don’t plan on re-reading. I love your mantras! Though I do need the job in order to afford the adventures! Good luck with all of your goals!

  5. I LOVE those mantras, especially the first one about life being an adventure, not a package tour.
I love your goals because they aren’t too lofty and they’re concise.
I should start doing blog goals too, perhaps that would give me the nudge I need…..

Knock January outta the park hun! 😉
