a 30 something girl having adventures for today to make memories for tomorrow.
This was one of those weeks that flew by so quickly. After being on leave, our first day back was Monday and the days have just whizzed by!
Yesterday we went to get our eyes tested after work. I’m looking forward to my new spectacles and trying out new contact lenses. I sat on my glasses earlier this week so they aren’t sitting all that well and I had such a headache! We were due for an eye test anyway so it was well timed.
My Mother-in-law turned 80 yesterday so we went to visit after seeing the Optometrist and we are going to celebrate with her on Monday.
My gratitude list today includes the following:
We are going for an adventure up the West Coast tomorrow and I’m looking forward to that. What about you? What are you doing this weekend?

Yay for new lenses! I had Lasik a number of years ago now, but before I did I remember how a fresh pair of glasses or contacts always made such a huge difference for sight! I hope you have a fun weekend of adventure! And happy birthday to your mother-in-law too!

Oh, my goodness—your husband is so very talented!!! I just saw a few of his waterfall pics and they quite literally took my breath away.
And I haven’t thought of or had Smarties in ages! Thanks for the reminder 🙂 yay for new visionwewr! It makes such a difference to put on a new pair of lenses or glasses and to be able to see again! Hope you have a lovely weekend, my sweet friend!

I really need to get my eyes checked and get new glasses; it’s been years now! I just haven’t had the money; my insurance doesn’t help with eyes. I’m in a wedding in two months though so I’m hoping to get in there before then!
I hope you have a fantastic weekend.

We were overdue for getting eye tests and I was amazed how different the reading was with one of my eyes. Hope you can get an appointment soon and get your new glasses before the wedding.

Those calendar photos are beautiful! He’s very talented. I also love painted nails, but I’m so hard on my hands than no manicure stays nice on me for long. I’ve never tried gel before. Maybe I’ll give that a try! 🙂
