Goals 2

So here we are!  A new month has started and I love doing this monthly post and linking up with fabulous Peaceful Posse – Lindsay http://theflynnigans.com/ Charlotte http://mypixieblog.com/ and Beth http://coffeeuntilcocktailsblog.com/ as we list goals and mantras for the month ahead.

Okay, so June goals were:

  • Drive more often – Nope.
  • Read 3 books  Yes and I joined Goodreads (having so much fun!).  Shout if you are on there!
  • Continue healthy meal planning  Yes!
  • Make June a dry month – Not a chance.
  • Be more mindful – Getting there slowly.  It is a work in progress.

July goals are as follows:

  • Read 3 books
  • Update Goodreads with books I’ve read (have I mentioned in the last 5 minutes that I love this website?)
  • Blog 10 times
  • Do more creative writing
  • Drive more often
  • Meditate after a stressful day
  • Continue being mindful
  • Continue going to gym and don’t use winter as an excuse
  • Make hubby’s birthday at the end of the month awesome 🙂

  1. Um, you and I are totally in sync on our mantras! Yay for choosing happiness!! I love Goodreads, I’ll try to find you on there! It helps me keep up on my reading! I say good for you in trying to do a dry month and well, it didn’t happen and that’s ok. Life happens right? Here is to a great July!


  2. Love your first mantra – so true! I’m a big fan of Goodreads. I don’t really put what I’m currently reading, but I DO add all the books after I’ve read them. It’s fun to look back, and I find a lot of books I WANT to read by being on Goodreads. haha Great job with all of your reading goals!!



    • I don’t know why I took so long to join – it is such a fun website.
      I need to add to my list of books I’ve read – as you say it is fun to look back. So many books on my TBR list is from either reviews I’ve seen or what is on other blogger’s lists 🙂


  3. I think it sounds like you had a great month!! I haven’t been meditating as much as I’d like, but have found the simple habit app to be so helpful—they send you reminders each day to take five to slow down and meditate and they have so many different categories available! Happy early birthday to your hubs—today is my dude’s birthday! It is unbelievably hot here (90+ degrees but feels like it’s 100) so not sure we’ll do much, but will definitely pull him out of ac soon 🙂 hope you are enjoying your week, and have a happy July ❤


    • That app sounds very helpful – nice that you get reminders to slow down. I need to make time to meditate and hope that I’ll be even more mindful going forward. I’m terrible at letting irritations get to me and push my stress levels up. Being a big worrier doesn’t help!
