New pic

The weekend starts in a few hours – something I’m incredibly grateful for!  This week has been busy but I don’t feel like I’ve ticked much off my to-do list – just one of those weeks!

Each Friday there is a link up with the fabulous Peaceful Posse.  Lindsay Charlotte and Beth host this amazing Friday link up called What’s up weekend?  Bloggers share their gratitude lists and it is a great way to start the weekend.  My list this week:

  • Fun in Langebaan over the weekend. Took a days leave last Friday and spent a fantastic weekend cycling, visiting the spa, having braais and relaxing in a beautiful place. Love Langebaan!
  • Getting back into my cycling. We rode around West Coast National Park and it was great seeing it at a slower pace on the bike.
  • Dinner at Cattle Baron on Monday.
  • Going back to gym on Tuesday – spent 30 minutes on the treadmill and then had a healthy dinner afterwards.
  • Wine after super long days
  • Rain on Wednesday
  • Finding balance this week – just because we had a dinner out on Monday didn’t mean we couldn’t eat healthily the rest of the week. Countered the treat with lots of stir-frys this week and the scale registered it this morning!
  • Waking up hours before the alarm and going back to sleep
  • Feeling less tired – could be that we are back at gym/eating more vegetables/vitamin has kicked in
  • My new blog finally getting there – might be able to start posting on it next week.

My equivalent to your cycling is disc golf. I haven’t played in forever! Here’s hoping I’ll get to soon (looking at the calendar, it doesn’t look good!) Can’t wait to check out your new blog.

I read that you’ve found new courses – that is great! Hope you can enjoy them soon.
Thanks – I changed my mind about the blog name and it has delayed everything.

Wine after a long day is the best! I’m glad you got some rain. And perhaps there is something to eating better/exercising that leads to more energy, but gosh it’s hard to keep up sometimes! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

      It really is!
I’ve been so tired lately so the better eating and exercising has really made a difference. Yesterday was a lazy day and I decided late afternoon to go to the gym (massive effort but glad I did). Hope you had a great weekend.

Hope you enjoyed dance over the weekend. I find eating healthily takes a bit more meal planning but it really is worth it. Sometimes I’ll have great intentions and then get to the shop and I end up buying easy and convenient things. Last week was the turning point for me when I realised how much more energy I had from making healthy choices.

I love wine after a long day (or after a short day; I don’t discriminate!!), and also yay for returning to the gym and healthy eating combo! That’s wonderful. Trying so hard with that and some weeks are better than others, but overall I find that stocking up on greens leaves me with little option but to cook.

Ahh, don’t you love when you wake up before the alarm and you can go back to sleep?! Bliss!!

Have a great weekend 🙂 xo

Oh yes long and short days work for me too!
Last week after doing meal planning and a big grocery shop I also found that eating well was easier. If it is in the fridge then I feel like it needs to be cooked and enjoyed 🙂
The gym and healthy eating combo works for me but with winter on its way I’m hoping I don’t use cold weather as an excuse too often (I’m really good at using the weather as an excuse LOL).
Hope you had a great weekend.

Girl, your adventures always sound so lovely!! 🙂 Too bad we aren’t closer or we could cycle together.

I can’t wait to see your new website – are you getting away from WordPress? I would like to do an overhaul on my, a nice facelift but no time. I could pay someone but that’s not really a priority at the moment. In the next month or so, ‘ve got to get our VW serviced, groomers for the dogs, pay a speeding ticket my husband got (GRRRR! lol) and then we’ve got to service our Scuba BCDs, get new booties and I need new goggles. Thank goodness all of our spending money is socked away and we don’t have to worry about that.

I hope you’re having a great week love. Take care my friend. 😉 xoxo

Such a pity we are so far away!
I’m still going to be with WordPress but it will be a brand new blog. It has taken time – long boring story – so I’m still using this one for now.
You must be so excited for your holiday – I cannot wait to hear all about it when you get back and see the pics.
It has been a rather long week so far. So glad Friday is a public holiday here so we are having a 3 day weekend.
Hope your week has been great so far 🙂 xoxo

It IS a pity we’ve got a massive ocean in between us. Nevertheless, I’m grateful to have “met” you this way than not at all. 🙂
I can’t wait to see it. Don’t rush the process and stress yourself out. Sounds like it’s been a long process though.
Oh I’m SO excited! We can’t wait. I’d start packing now but it’s a wee bit early. Haha!
It’s been a long bloody week for me as well. Yesterday felt like it should’ve definitely been Thursday, wtf?! Enjoy your long weekend hun. 🙂
