Hello Friday

It was a 4 day week yet it felt longer.  What is up with shorter weeks that do that?  I usually post this at lunchtime but today got away from me and it is now early Friday evening and the weekend has arrived!  Supper is on the stove and there is dessert in the freezer and I cannot wait to get on the couch with Mark and Masterchef!

Each Friday there is a link up with the fabulous Peaceful Posse.  Lindsay http://theflynnigans.com/ Charlotte http://mypixieblog.com/ and Beth    http://coffeeuntilcocktailsblog.com/ host this amazing Friday link up called What’s up weekend?  Bloggers share their gratitude lists and it is a great way to start the weekend.  My list this week:

  • An amazing time up the Garden Route over the long weekend.

Left Cape Town super early and had breakfast at Flava before driving to Knysna.  The weather there on Friday was sunny and even though the rest of the weekend was cloudy (we stayed in Wilderness both nights) we had such an amazing time.  Drinks at Cocomos in the afternoon and dinner at Pomodoro.   Visited the market in Sedgefield which was fun.  Also drove past Buffelsbaai (last pic).  Then repeated the drinks at Cocomos and dinner at Pomodoro.  Seriously the pizzas are SO GOOD.  This was probably my favourite Easter weekend.

  • Fun with Instax pics. Photos that print instantly are so much fun 🙂
  • Trying a vitamin as I’m over feeling SO tired all the time.
  • Hot cross buns. With cheese. Yum.
  • Mark got a new bike – looking forward to going for a cycle soon.
  • Horrendous headache that lasted most of Thursday is gone. Hubby’s earache is better.
  • Soothing hand cream. My hands are so dry with using hand sanitiser at work.
  • Life in Pieces – I love this show so much.  I’m still laughing at the cauliflower rice episode.
  • Re-reading “Rachels Holiday” by Marian Keyes and enjoying it all over again.
  • Watching Masterchef Australia.

We have a fun weekend planned.  We are making the most of the last bit of warm weather – the mornings are already chilly 😦  So we are visiting one of our favourite places tomorrow.

What are your plans for this weekend?  Whatever you have planned – enjoy!

Your Easter weekend sounds like it was lot of fun! And can I just say how much I love your bird shirt? It’s so cute! I’ve wanted to get one of the Instax cameras, they look so fun! I have never tried hot cross buns, can you believe it? They sound kind of good with cheese though! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! ❤

Thank you Beth – had this bird t-shirt for years and it is still one of my favourites.
Hot cross buns with cheese is my weakness this time of year. I had two at work this morning 🙂
Hope you had a great weekend ❤ I cannot believe it is Monday already!

What a fun trip! I have an Instax camera that I really need to use more. I just hate the idea of wasting photos. lol I need to get some extra “film” if you will so I can use it more and not feel like I’m going to run out right away.

I love the show Life in Pieces. I was watching it yesterday actually – too funny.

I know what you mean – I usually have a spare film with because once it is printed, you cannot delete it. It is just so nice to have a photo seconds after taking it instead of waiting for it to be printed 🙂

What a fun Easter weekend you had!! Side note: I absolutely love your bird shirt—so cute!! I want to say that your hubby is a bird watcher (is he, or did I just make that up?? I vaguely recall a trip where he spotted a very rare bird!)…anyway, sorry—that was a very random interlude.

Anyway, no shame in taking vitamins and enjoy the sunshine while you can. We’re expecting more snow tomorrow and it literally is the winter that just won’t end here! Will have to add Life in Pieces to my list—have a great weekend!!

Thank you Charlotte – this is a favourite t-shirt of mine and yes you are right – hubby and I love bird watching. He has been into his photography for a while now and started with avian before branching out into wildlife and landscape photography.

We are not ready for winter – I know your winters are much colder so I mustn’t complain but I’m really a summer person. Try Life In Pieces – it is SO funny.

    Hey hey girl,

Finally made it over here *rolls eyes*. Short weeks area great because that means there is or you’ve had a long weekend but man, are they (usually) ever BRUTAL. I hear that.

Your pictures are always gorgeous and have me oooohing and ahhh’ing. Girl take some iron if you’re feeling so tired. You might want to get your thyroid tested if you don’t see an improvement. Apparently that’s common for people our age. Listen to me…. LOL

Nice, Mark got a new bike. I’m waiting for it to just get a wee bit nicer before we start going out on our bikes. Mornings and evenings are still chilly and frankly, I’ve not gotten out of my winter jacket as yet *shaking my fist*. LOL

I hope you’re having a great week hun and that it’s going by quickly for you. 🙂

Short weeks either drag by and feel like a month or they end up being stressful because you have to fit 5 days into 4 and there aren’t enough hours in the day!

I’m taking a vitamin and after cycling am feeling slightly better but if there isn’t a big improvement I’ll definitely take some iron. You are right at our age we mustn’t ignore things!

Definitely wait for warmer weather – you’ll enjoy cycling so much more. The weather is cooling down here so we are trying to make the most of the warmer days. Not looking forward to winter.

Hope that your week has gotten off to a good start. I’m behind on the blogs – going to catch up soon 🙂
