Weekly catch up and gratitude list

Hello Friday.  You certainly took your time.  I’ve required vast amounts of tea, patience and – well lets be honest – wine but I’m really glad you’ve rocked up and will be bringing the weekend in a few hours.

Each Friday Lindsay http://theflynnigans.com/ Charlotte http://mypixieblog.com/ and Beth http://www.thebethnextdoor.com/  host a link up called What’s up weekend?  Bloggers take stock of what made them happy during the week and it is a wonderful way to start the weekend as we share our gratitude lists.

  • Awesome weekend. Delicious breakfasts out, long drives, a nap and chilling with hubby. Bliss.
  • I sorted out our wardrobe – moved the winter clothes so there is space for the summer ones. Looks so organised and I’ll be honest I feel rather smug everytime I open the doors and see everything folded and hung neatly.
  • Fresh linen.
  • Reading with a cup of tea each morning.
  • Started a new gratitude journal this week.
  • Dinner at Cattle Baron on Tuesday evening.
  • Lunch with a work friend on Wednesday.
  • My husband and his endless patience.
  • Mark planning something awesome for us this weekend…..cannot wait for tomorrow.
  • Going back to gym last night and running for 30 minutes – felt exhausted but awesome afterwards.

What is on your list today?

    • It is a great feeling when something is organized 🙂 I’ve been putting it off and was so glad when I eventually go around to it!

  1. Fresh linen is the best! I just replaced some of the linens in our house with fresh too and it feels so good! I hope you share more about your fun plans tomorrow! My husband and I are going on a little adventure too!

    • I will do a post later in the week about our trip to Hermanus. Going to visit your blog now to catch up on your weekend 🙂

    • It is a great feeling 🙂
Hope you had a wonderful weekend.

  2. Man, Friday definitely took FOREVER to get here! Hope you have a fun weekend! It sounds like it’s going to be exciting!!

    • It took ages, yet Monday arrived with no warning LOL!

    • Catch ups are always fun with good friends, glad you enjoyed one last week.
Hope your weekend was great 🙂

    • Weekends just always go so quickly! I cannot believe today is Tuesday already.
      Hope you enjoyed yours 🙂

  3. I need to organize my closets too to move some of our summer stuff out. Opening and staring into an organized closet…be still, my beating heart 🙂

Oooh excited to hear about your weekend plans and good on you for getting back to the gym 🙂 xoxo

    • I’m so glad others can relate to how good organised closets make one feel! When things are jumbled in there it just makes me feel disorganised and tired!

Will definitely do a post on my weekend. Still trying to do one on my holiday last month!

  4. I think fresh linen and jumping into it with a good book and tea….is total heaven!
Super awesome for getting back to the gym. 30 minutes of running is bad ass!
I have to put away my summer things. I don’t know why I’m clinging onto my shorts. Why girl, why? I say to myself every time I open up my dresser drawer. HA!

    • That sounds like bliss – tea and a book is already a winning combination 🙂
I hear you on the shorts. When winter arrives I tend to procrastinate packing away summer things. Or I’ll go shopping for winter clothes but come home with a summer dress on sale. It is serious denial on my part!

  5. Hey girl! Sounds like your week was pretty awesome even though Friday took it’s sweet time getting to us. Sounds like Mark had some fun things planned for the weekend too. You spoiled lady. 🙂 Good for you, you deserve it.
I’ve been on a cleaning/purge mode this week too and it’s oddly satisfying when things are neat and organized. 😉

Cheers to this week and I hope Friday comes along fast. I can’t wait for end of the work day in a few short days. 🙂

    Take care my friend. xo

    • Hey Lindsay! This past weekend we went to Hermanus for the night (will do a post on it soon). I felt super spoiled 🙂

I’m so glad you had a lovely birthday and am looking forward to hearing about your weekend trip.
I love the feeling of calm that comes with cleaning/decluttering/or simply tidying up.
