Hello Friday!

The weekend is less than 2.5 hours away and it is a 3 day one – yippee!

This week has flown and as I sit here typing and listening to the rain I feel like it has been a good one.  That said I am ready for 4:00pm to roll around and some relaxation to commence!

My list this week included:

  • Mark.  His patience and love. Being understanding while I’ve been grieving and always being there for me.
  • Old favourites for dinner. Sometimes you need comfort food.
  • Tea and a Debbie Macomber book – great combination.
  • Feeling better after being off on Wednesday. Sore stomachs are the worst – I feel instantly miserable when I wake up with one.
  • It is no longer icy in the mornings. Nearly time to move my winter stuff and bring out the summer clothes.
  • Dealing with my grief better these past few days. Doing loads of self-care and taking a day at a time.
  • Concentrating on being present and being more mindful.
  • New Lucy Diamond book just waiting to be read
  • Fresh bedding – slept so well the last couple of nights.
  • Long weekend! Got a lot of fun planned for the next 3 days and knowing we don’t have to set an alarm for Monday morning is adding to the bliss.

    What a lovely list of gratitude ❤ cheers to long weekends, partners who "get us," warmer weather, and fresh linens 🙂 I've had a tummy ache for the past three days and realized it's probably because I left my probiotics behind when I traveled to my parents house. I never noticed the difference they make.

      Hope you feel better soon – probiotics can make such a difference. I took one on Wednesday and it took a while to work but I did feel better by the evening.

    I am jealous of your long weekend! Fresh bedding is the best. It reminds me I should change mine. I haven’t been sleeping so great and sometimes fresh sheets make all the difference. I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

    I hope you enjoyed your long weekend and some extra downtime to just chill and take it easy. Grieving can be/is exhausting and I’m sure it’s taking its toll on you physically and emotionally. Bless your hubby for being such a supportive and understanding man. It can be so hard standing by letting the ones you love hurt ….

      I really needed this relaxing weekend! Grieving is really exhausting and I don’t know what I’d do without hubby and his patience. He always knows what to say.
